Bio

Ewa Gordon is an artist specializing in modern Hebrew calligraphy. She is a translator of classical Jewish literature from Hebrew to Polish — Megilat Ester and Rut, a Passover Haggadah (translated and illustrated by Ewa Gordon), Zemirot Shabbat, Jewish Wedding Customs, Jewish Funeral Customs, Siddur for Weekday and Shabbat, Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and others. Ewa is a graduate of the High School of Art and of the Hebrew Language Department of The Warsaw University. She also studied modern Israeli Art in Jerusalem. Since 1995 she has been teaching workshops in Hebrew calligraphy at the annual Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow. Ewa works with inks on paper, acrylic paint on board and collage. Her works can be found in private collections in Europe, the United States and Israel.
